What a year! A re-cap of a year of Demeter Delune.
It's been difficult, but there have been great times as well. See what's yet to come.
In two days, we’ll be celebrating the end of this most trying year, 2020; Though I hope it doesn’t look like the celebrations of years past or we’ll end up with COVID pods. I think I can speak for a lot of us when I say, don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out, 2020.
Ringing in 2021 won’t change much, other than the numbers we write on our cards and checks, until people stand together (but at least 6 feet apart and masked!) and advocate for change. Though it may be uncomfortable (most change is), let’s make 2021 the year we start (or continue) to call out bad behavior. Whether it’s the police, politicians, or your best friend from high school, when you see something, say something.
What I’ve Learned About Myself This Year
I’ve been writing about sexuality for a bit over a year now. As Emma Austin noted in her end of year newsletter, I thought I would just be bringing information and entertainment to others, in the hope at least one person would benefit from it. I knew for myself, I had to learn a lot of things the hard way and wanted to put myself out there, even though it was often uncomfortable, in such a way that maybe, someone else going through the same thing would realize they’re not alone and there’s a way through.
What I found is an amazing circle of friends/fellow sex writers and some readers who feel like family.
I also found writing about certain things was cathartic for me. Whether it was funny stories, like losing my ex-husband at my first orgy, or serious and painful things, like finding out my boyfriend married someone else, through it all I was healing myself.
I can’t express enough how much I appreciate you all coming along for the ride.

What’s Coming in The New Year
Me. haha.
But seriously, I want to hear from you. When you read my stories, which ones resonate most with you? Is there something you would like to see more of? Just reply to this email and let me know.
I’ve been working with Jaye Wilde on our YouTube channel and podcast and have let my own channel go by the wayside. A lot of the content I was producing is very similar to what Jaye and I are doing, so I don’t want to double up on the same thing. In the new year, I think I’ll be dropping the Demeter channel and focus on a podcast of my own.
There will be a lot of changes in my world in the very near future. I’m working on seriously downsizing everything. I’ve made the decision to sell our house. My hope is, the proceeds will be sufficient to pay the attorneys we need plus purchase an RV.
RV life is something we’d planned on in the future, it’s just happening a lot sooner than we expected. Once these legal proceedings are all said and done, we have zero desire to remain in this area on a regular basis. We’ll have to return to visit with my bonus daughter, but otherwise, the plan is to travel the country as we can and see what we can see.
I will still be writing and producing other content. There’s wifi pretty much everywhere, so it shouldn’t change what I do here, maybe just make it more exciting.
